Following on from the full-length album “KOLD HEAT” released late 2014, the team at Karsniogenics have put together a limited edition 7 inch vinyl release specifically for this years WRSD.
The A-side joint “PIG CITY” artwork pays homage to Brisbane band THE PARAMETERS “PIG CITY” track originally recorded at 4ZZZ radio and released in 1984. The release has provided it’s name to Brisbane author Andrew Stafford, (PIG CITY; from The Saints to Savage Garden) focusing on the Brisbane music scene and tracking the political climate from the 1970’s to the 2000’s.
The AA-side joint “MAGNUM OPUS” was a personal favourite of the artists and well received by 750 fans alike. To celebrate this release the crew has cooked up an abstract piece of visual art to accompany the song, which will be available via the Karsniogenics YouTube channel on our online preorder day, Wednesday April 19.
Jake Biz, Overproof Pete and Gaz Hazard – members of Brisbane’s 750 Rebels and Karsniogenics Records – were recently given the opportunity to team up with Olympic boxer Brad Hore for his Keep Your Hands To Yourself campaign, a movement against the spate of coward punch attacks that have been happening in Brisbane’s night life precincts and around Australia. Not only are these cowardly attacks killing people in the streets they are affecting our night life precincts with stringent and ineffective lock-out laws.
Keep Ya Hands To Yourself is Produced by Overproof Pete aka Brookes Cullings and recorded at Gullywood Studios.
Video filmed by 750 Rebels collaborator Dolan for DF Des1gn. For videography and filmwork please contact Dolan at firstname.lastname@example.org.
